Policies

Here's what you need to know before booking


When you schedule an appointment with Skincare by Shari, you are agreeing to these policies, which are in place so that I may best serve all of my clients equally and fairly and to the best of my ability. 

 

 

Entering into the Spa

When you enter into the spa, please be mindful that others may be present enjoying a relaxing service.  Please enter quietly and speak in “spa voices.” Please prepare to turn your phone off or put it on silent.

 

 

Late Arrival

If for any reason, you believe you will be arriving late to your appointment, please contact me immediately. All appointments have been designed to allow appropriate time for full enjoyment of each service. Please be aware that if you arrive late, I cannot guarantee that your full service will be performed that day. In some cases, rescheduling your appointment for another day may be necessary.

Cancellation Notice

Your appointment is reserved especially for you. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 24 - 48 hours in advance.  Any cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will result in a 50% non-refundable cancellation fee based on the cost of the scheduled service.  I understand that last minute matters arise; however, when you miss an appointment, I not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time.

Sickness

Please do not come to your appointment feeling ill, especially if you are at risk of having or coming down with something contagious.  Please try to give at least 24 hours notice cancellation.

​

 

No-Shows

When an appointment is scheduled and you do not call or show up, you are automatically considered a “no-show.”  After your first no-show you will be required to put down a 50% non-refundable deposit of your next service scheduled to go towards the cost of your service.  After two no-shows you may not be able to schedule again.

​

 

Inclement Weather Policy

If you believe that it would be unsafe or impossible for you to travel to your appointment due to inclement weather, contact me as soon as possible.  Your safety is very important to me!

​

 

Health Conditions

Please advise me at time of booking of any health conditions, allergies, sensitivities, injuries, recent surgeries, pregnancy, change in medication, or any special needs which may affect your services.

​

 

Prices and Services

Prices and services are subject to change without notice. I will do my best to keep clients up to date on any changes that may occur but encourage all clients to inquire about pricing and available services when booking your appointment.

​

 

Gratuity

Gratuity is not included in the price of your service; however, customary tipping runs 15% to 20% but is, of course, at your discretion and should be calculated based on the amount of the full service price.  If you choose to purchase products at the time of your service, be sure to calculate your gratuity only on the cost of the service only by doing a custom tip and not a tip based on the percentage of the sale at check out.

Personal Belongings

Please leave all jewelry and valuable items at home as on most occasions you will need to remove jewelry anyway.  I am not responsible for lost or misplaced items.

​

 

Product Return Policy

In the event you purchase skincare products for home use and find them to be defective, I will exchange any products within 14 days of purchase.

​

 

Series of Services

If you choose to purchase a series of services, pre-payment is required and is non-refundable.  If you are unable to complete your series or program, a credit will be applied for your future use of other services.

​

 

Cell Phones

I kindly ask that you turn your cell phones to off or silent upon arrival for your full enjoyment of your service and also so that I may fully focus my attention on serving you.

​

 

Children and Other Accompanied Guests

It is best that children under the age of 12 stay at home.  No children or other accompanied guests are allowed in the treatment room without advance permission.
